Bobby working out

Olympic Trials winner in the jav doing the work! Things to remember when do this:
  1. You better know what the hell you are doing
  2. You better be warmed up

This exercise puts alot of stress on your patella tendons, and really compresses the lower lumbar (lower back). Be safe

Not a very practical exercise for javelin throwing. Why? The sport involves throwing a light object fast, unilaterally, in both the sagittal and transverse planes. So the exercise should mimic that. Instead it's lifting heavy, bilaterally, and only in the sagittal plane. Not a bad exercise, just not the best choice for the sport.
